In order to initiate sign ups for your event, you will need to set up tickets. You can access the ticket creation section under Event Setup > Tickets/Registration.
Before you create any tickets, change the Organizer sales notification email from babyyoda@hightechhigh.org to yours. If you do not do this, you will not receive notifications about your event from your event registrants.
When you first log into your new event, it will have carried over the original tickets from the model event. Delete them by clicking on the small gear icon at the right end of the ticket listing and selecting Delete.
To create a ticket, click on the “Paid Ticket/Registration” button, This will open a window with customizable fields for your ticket. You may name your ticket anything you wish. When you’re done creating your ticket, confirm that they are located in your listed tickets.
This editor is also where you’ll set the price for your event, as well as any bulk discounts that you wish to include.
If you want to provide free ticket types to teachers or staff members you can make the price of a ticket free, and put an unlock code to only allow those you provide the code to from accessing it.
*While filling out a free ticket type you may want to hide the ticket option from the general public by checking the “Hide “Free” Label” bubble. This will make it so that the price is hidden from the public.
There is currently no cap to the amount of tickets an event can have, and you are even able to change the amount of tickets available for an event after an event has been published. That being said, we only have 10,000 available tickets for each calendar year (starting, and ending, on November 10 of each year) so please keep that in mind when setting your ticket quantities.
No matter whether your event is unpublished or live you can always edit the number of tickets available. To edit your ticket quantities go to Manage Registration > Add more attendees Increase the quantity using the numeric drop-down menus on the right hand side. When done click the Save Changes button.
